After a track day, upload your data logger file to LapBrain. Here's what happens — and what to look for.
Upload your file
Connect your data logger (or phone) and sync your session data. LapBrain accepts files from all major loggers:
- AiM: XRK and XRZ files (via WiFi sync or manual export from RaceStudio)
- MoTeC: LD and LDX files (export from i2 Pro)
- RaceChrono: VBO and RCZ files (export from the phone app)
If you use an AiM logger with a mobile device, the LapBrain app can sync directly over WiFi — tap Sync and it discovers your logger automatically. Otherwise, export the file from your data acquisition software and upload through the web app.
See the Data Logger Setup section for step-by-step instructions for your specific logger.
Processing
Once uploaded, LapBrain reads your telemetry and analyzes every corner. This typically takes 30–60 seconds. You'll see a progress indicator as each stage completes:
- Decode — reading your raw telemetry channels
- Track resolution — identifying which track you rode
- Enrichment — analyzing every corner, detecting issues, generating coaching
GPS data is required for track maps and corner analysis. If your session has no GPS channels, LapBrain will decode the telemetry but can't generate corner-by-corner coaching.
Your debrief
When processing finishes, you land on your debrief — a summary of what went well, your Focus recommendationFocus recommendationA coaching area ranked by potential time gain and your current skill level. LapBrain shows multiple focus recommendations so you can choose how many to work on. s ranked by impact, and a map of your session.

The debrief answers: "What should I work on next?" — with multiple focus areas ranked so you can choose how many to tackle.
What to do next
- Read your debrief — start with the wins, then focus on the top recommendation. See Reading Your Debrief.
- Tap into a corner — pick the corner from your focus recommendation and look at the phase breakdown.
- Write it down — before your next session, note the one thing you'll focus on. Riders who brief before a session improve measurably faster.
