LapBrain supports MoTeC log files in .ld and .ldx format. MoTeC loggers are widely used in professional racing and produce high-quality telemetry data.
Export from i2 Pro
- Connect your logger and open the session in i2 Pro
- Go to File → Export
- Choose
.ldformat and save the file - In the LapBrain web app, go to Upload and select the exported file
tip
If you have multiple sessions in one log file, i2 Pro lets you export individual sessions. Export each session separately for the best analysis results.
Export from MoTeC C-series (C125, C127, etc.)
- Remove the SD card from your logger
- Copy the
.ldfiles to your computer (they're in the root of the card or a dated folder) - Upload directly to LapBrain — no i2 Pro conversion needed
Channel requirements
LapBrain requires GPS latitude and longitude channels for corner analysis. The standard channel names are automatically detected:
GPS Latitude/GPS LongitudeGPS Speed(used for cross-validation)
warning
Some MoTeC configurations don't log GPS by default. If you're not sure whether GPS is enabled, check your logger's channel list in i2 Pro. You need at minimum GPS Latitude and GPS Longitude at 5 Hz or higher.
Supported models
- i2 Pro — export via software
- C125 / C127 — direct SD card export
- M1 series — export via i2 Pro
What to do next
- Upload your first session — see Your First Session for what happens after upload.
- Verify your channels — if LapBrain shows "no GPS data" after upload, check your logger's GPS configuration in i2 Pro.
